Strong and Fit Moms
It is important to have a strong but flexible body to carry the baby without aches and pains. Exercise will help your mental as well as physical state as you progress through each trimester. Learn how to exercise safely under the guidance of a qualified professional. We have been working with pregnant and post-partum moms for over 6 years. If you are post-partum and have no help you are welcome to bring your baby with you.
Benefits of Exercise
Programs are designed for a minimum of twice a week, preferably three times per week so you can learn correct movement patterns to reduce your chance of injury. Programs can be performed independently once the instructor feels you are performing the movement competently with the safety of your joints in mind. (Speak with Christine for more information on independent program design).
Post Partum
After you have the baby you'll need to strengthen your core (pelvic joints loosen with birth, other muscles are stretched out). This will help you cope with feeding the baby and picking him/her up so many times during the course of the day. (Nightly feeds every three hours and no sleep can take their toll on the body post partum!)
